Country Music History May 21

It's Saturday - fun day in Whalan, Spring Grove and Preston!   Take in all the great activities during their town events!

I absolutely love "Luckenbach, Texas (Back to the Basics of Love)" by Waylon Jennings.  May 21, 1977 it began a six-week stay in the #1 position on the Billboard country singles chart.

In 1988, "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses" by Kathy Mattea is #1 on the Billboard charts, while in 1994, it's "Your Love Amazes Me" by John Berry.

Kellie Pickler danced her way to the top and won season 16 of "Dancing With The Stars".

And finally, in 1998 "No Fences" album by Garth Brooks becomes the first country album certified for shipment of 14 million copies.
