Holy smokes - three country music greats were born on May 18.

"King" George Strait was born May 18, 1952 in Poteet, Texas.  George is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and has earned more than 25 gold albums throughout his amazing career.

Oak Ridge Boys tenor, Joe Bonsall, was born in 1948 in Philadelphia.  Bonsall is the lead voice on "Elvira" and "Bobbie Sue".  Did you know that the Oak Ridge Boys initially formed as a gospel group?

Kennett, Missouri is the birthplace of David Nail, born in 1979.  Nail had his first hit single in 2009 with "Red Light".  Other hits include "Whatever She's Got" and "Let It Rain".

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1996 "My Maria" by Brooks and Dunn is in the #1 position.  Johnny Horton and "The Battle of New Orleans" holds that spot in 1959.
