Faith Hill's hubby, Tim McGraw, was born this date in 1967 in Delhi, Louisiana.  Tim has had a huge list of hits throughout his career including "Back When" and "Indian Outlaw", as well as a song dedicated to his father, "Live Like You Were Dying".

Also born this date in 1928 in Hackleburg, Alabama, the Southern Gentleman, Sonny James.  When I think of Sonny James, the one song that jumps into my mind is "Running Bear".  James joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2010, Rascal Flatts had the honor of singing the National Anthem before the Kentucky Derby horse race at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

In 1993, a well deserved honor, Charley Pride joined the Grand Ole Opry.
