Country Music History March 9

Happy birthday to Mickey Gilley born March 9, 1936 in Natchez, Mississippi.  I bet you didn't know that Mickey had two famous cousins - Reverend Jimmy Swaggart and Jerry Lee Lewis.  Now you know!

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1991 we find the super Alan Jackson sitting at #1 with "I'd Love You All Over Again".  And in 2002, Miss Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw with "Bring On The Rain".  Great songs.

In Charleston, South Carolina in 2011, fire broke out on Randy Houser's bus.  No one was injured but the band lost its gear and their personal belongings.
