"Nashville Star" winner, Chris Young, was born June 12, 1985 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

In 2014, The Band Perry's Kimberly Perry married Texas Rangers pitcher J.P. Arencibia in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Terri Clark joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2004; the first Canadian-born female to be given that honor.

The country singles Billboard chart finds Miranda Lambert and "The House That Built Me" in the #1 spot in 2010.  "I'll Get Over You" by Crystal Gayle is #1 in 1976.

And finally, in 1973 Dolly Parton recorded a super-smash song "Jolene" at RCA Studio in Nashville.
