Country Music History July 5

Back to work folks!  Nose to the grindstone.
Let's start off the work week by looking at the Billboard country singles chart for July 5.  In 1980 we find the #1 position held by George Jones and his signature song "He Stopped Loving Her Today".  Luke Bryan and "Play It Again" were #1 in 2014.
"Cracked Rear View", an absolutely fabulous album by Hootie and the Blowfish was released by Atlantic records in 1994.
Lady Antebellum founding member David Haywood was born in 1982 in Savannah, Georgia.
And in 1980, John Conlee made his Grand Ole Opry debut.
