God Bless The USA!  Happy Independence Day, friends!

In 1973, Willie Nelson started his tradition of holding a huge Fourth of July picnic in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, a celebration is held in New York Harbor in 1986.  Lee Greenwood performed "God Bless The U.S.A.".

And in 1981, Barbara Mandrell and "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool" is #1 on the country Billboard charts.
