Two country music stars were born on this date.

In 1979 in Harper, Kansas, Jerrod Niemann was born.

In Plant City, Florida in 1957, Mel Tillis' daughter, Pam was born.  Pam joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2000.

The "Urban Cowboy" sound track is certified platinum in 1980.

And in 2009, "I Run To You" by Lady Antebellum is certified gold.
