Country Music History July 22
Friday greetings, friends, and wishes for a wonderful, cooler weekend!
Founding member of one of the greatest bands of all time, in my humble opinion, drummer/singer Don Henley was born July 22, 1947 in Gilmer, Texas.
In 1992 at a ceremony at the White House, President George Bush presented National Medal of Arts awards to Earl Scruggs and Minnie Pearl.
"Any Man Of Mine" becomes Shania Twain's first Billboard #1 single; the year is 1995.
And to end our history lesson for today, in 2011 "Crazy Girl" becomes The Eli Young Band's first gold single.
