July 21, 1972 Paul Rennee Belobersycky was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  You know him professionally as Paul Brandt.  Paul used to have a career as a nurse.  In 1996, he started his singing career and had hits with "I  Do" and "My Heart Has a History".

Another native Canadian, Emerson Drive lead singer, Brad Mates, was born in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada in 1978.  Emerson Drive had several country music hits including "Fall Into You" and "Moments".  Great harmony.

Charley Pride received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999.

Yet another Canadian, Anne Murray, had the top single on the Billboard Country Chart in 1979 with "Shadows in the Moonlight".  That spot was held in 2012 by "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" sung by Brantley Gilbert.
