Founding member of The Eagles, Bernie Leadon, was born July 19, 1947 in Minneapolis.  After leaving The Eagles in 1975, Leadon performed briefly with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

In 1991 on her way to a concert at the Grand Ole Opry, the brakes failed on Dottie West's car.  West lost control of the vehicle and hit a wall but fortunately sustained only minor injuries.

Double-platinum status is earned for Gretchen Wilson and her "Here For The Party" album in 2004.

And in 1997, George Strait is in the #1 position on the Billboard country singles chart with "Carrying Your Love With Me".
