Craig Morgan was born July 17, 1965 in Nashville.  Morgan is probably best known for "Redneck Yacht Club" and "That's What I Love About Sunday".

Merle Haggard recorded "Okie From Muskogee" in 1969 at Capitol Recording Studios in Hollywood.

Buck Owens' Buckaroos guitarist, Don Rich, died in a motorcycle accident in California in 1974.

"That's My Kind of Night" singer, Luke Bryan, was born in 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia.  Bryan has received numerous awards during his short career including being named Entertainer of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.

And in 1993, the #1 country single on the Billboard charts was "Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson.
