Country Music History July 15

Finally Friday!

One of my favorite female singers, Linda Ronstadt, was born July 15, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona.  Linda has had a great career with pop/rock hits, country cross-over hits and amazing duos with Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and  Aaron Neville.

Bill Anderson joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1961.

Aaron Tippin and Thea Corontzos were married in Nashville during a traditional Greek ceremony in 1995.

"Dirt Road Anthem" and "My Kinda Party" earned platinum singles status for Jason Aldean in 2011.
