Greetings this beautiful Thursday, country music fans!

It's All-Star Game Week!  In 2009, Sara Evans performed during the seventh inning stretch of the All-Star Game singing "God Bless America".  AL won the game 4-3.

At the Republican National Convention in 1980, Glen Campbell and Tanya Tucker sang the national anthem.  Also performing were Donny and Marie Osmond, Vicki Lawrence and Pat Boone.

Jamey Johnson was born in 1975 in Enterprise, Alabama.  Jamey started his career as a songwriter, penning "Give It Away" for George Strait and many other songs.  In 2008, his album "That Lonesome Song" was released.

And in 1973, during a concert at Knott's Berry Farm in California, The Everly Brothers broke up on stage.  Phil smashed his guitar on the side of the stage and stormed off, while brother Don finished the evening's two shows solo.
