In 1965, Roy Acuff and two musicians were injured in an auto accident in Tennessee. Acuff sustained pelvis fractures and a broken collar bone.

At Ryman Auditorium in Nashville back in 1970, Johnny Cash recorded "Sunday Morning Coming Down", written by Kris Kristofferson.

Gerald Vernon was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1970.  Taking on the professional name Gary LeVox, he becomes the lead singer to Rascal Flatts.

Steel Magnolia member Joshua Scott was born in 1980 in Charleston, Illinois.  Scott and his singing partner Meghan Linsey had a huge hit in 2009 with "Keep On Lovin' You".

And in 2010, Carrie Underwood and hockey player Mike Fisher took marriage vows in Greensboro, Georgia.
