Country Music History January 7

Two country music stars share January 7 as their birth day.

Singer/songwriter David Lee Murphy was born in 1959 in Illinois.  Murphy had such hits as "Dust On The Bottle" and "Party Crowd".  He also write "Living In Fast Forward", "Big Green Tractor" and others.
John Rich of Big and Rich was born in Texas in 1974.  Rich is also a songwriter, penning "Redneck Woman", "Mississippi Girl" and many other hits for various artists.

Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrell were married in 2012 in New York state.  Hillary is the very talented  lead singer of Lady Antebellum.

The Billboard country singles chart  finds Johnny Paycheck and "Take This Job and Shove It" in the #1 position in 1978.
