Hey it's Friday!  Make it a good one and an even better weekend!  Today is the birthday of Moe Bandy who was born in 1944 in Meridian, Mississippi.  Bandy was a prominent honky-tonk performer in the early 1980's and recorded several duets with Joe Stampley.

In 2011, CMT named "I Will always Love You" by Dolly Parton as #1 on the "40 Greatest Love Songs" list.  An excellent choice!

Looking at the Billboard singles charts for February 12, in 2005 the number one position was held by Rascal Flatts and "Bless The Broken Road", while in 1983 it was Miss Crystal Gayle and "Til I can Gain Control Again".  I have to admit I haven't heard the latter, will have to check it out.
