Another month gets underway and another edition of country music history.

February 1, 1937 Don Everly was born in Kentucky.  Along with his brother, Phil, they formed The Everly Brothers.  Country Music Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, The Everly Brothers had mega hits with "Cathy's Clown" and "Wake Up Little Susie".

Elvis Presley's only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born in Memphis in 1968.  Lisa Marie's mom is Priscilla Presley.

I love it that pro football includes country music in their televised games.  In 2009 in Tampa, Faith Hill sang "America, The Beautiful" during the pre-game show, and Bruce Springsteen performed during halftime.  Final score:  Pittsburgh 27, Arizona 23.

Aerosmith, Willie Nelson and Toby Keith performed during the pre-game show of the Super Bowl in 2004 in Houston.  Halftime show featured Kid Rock.  The Patriots beat the Panthers 39-29.
