Country Music History December 2

Happy Friday country music fans!  Did you watch this season of "Dancing With The Stars"?  I was amazed at the dancing ability of many of the stars including country singer Jana Kramer.  That girl can dance!  Jana was born December 2, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan.  In 2012, she had her first country hit with "Why Ya Wanna".  She was named ACM's Top New Female singer in 2013.

Lighting the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City is always a big deal and a holiday tradition.  Garth Brooks joined in the festivities in 1998, helping First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton light the tree.  Also taking part in the television broadcast of the lighting were Cyndi Lauper, Jewel and Babyface.
