Wednesday already!  I like the sound of that - closer to the weekend!

Two country music birthdays today.  Zac Brown Band fiddler, Jimmy DeMartini was born August 3, 1976 in Marietta, Georgia.

Dean Sams was born in 1966 in Garland, Texas.  Sams is the keyboard player for Lonestar.  Lonestar was named Academy of Country Music's Best New Group or Duo in 1995.

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1985 we find Alabama in the #1 spot with "Forty Hour Week (For A Livin')".  Trisha Yearwood was #1 in 1991 with "She's In Love With The Boy".

In 1999, the one-and-only Patsy Cline received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
