Three country greats were born on April 5!  Let's start with Eddie Montgomery's partner, Troy Gentry.  Troy was born in 1967 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Montgomery Gentry were a very successful group with a string of hits including "Hell Yeah", "Lucky Man" and "My Town".

Lead singer of The Eli Young Band, Mike Eli, was born in Texas in 1981.  "Crazy Girl" earned the band Song of the Year ACM award in 2012.

And Pat Green was born this date in 1972 in San Antonio, Texas.  Green had a huge hit in 2003 with "Wave On Wave".

Trace Adkins made history, in a good way and a bad way, on April 5.  In 1997, his "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing" is #1 on the Billboard country singles chart.  Just a few years later in 2000, while working on his land in Tennessee, a huge boulder rolled over his left hand and he required forty stitches after sustaining a compound fracture.
