Country Music History April 26

One of the most famous songs of yesteryear, "Walking The Floor Over You" was recorded by Ernest Tubb April 26, 1941.

Rascal Flatts' bass player/vocalist, Jay DeMarus, was born in 1971 in Columbus, Ohio.

Checking the Billboard country singles chart, in 1980 we find Miss Dottie West and "A Lesson In Leavin'"; while in 2014 it was country hottie, Luke Bryan, and "Play It Again".

Natalie Harker and Eric Paslay were married in Tennessee in 2015.

And on a sad note, in 2013 country legend George Jones died at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.  Jones was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and recorded countless hits including "The Grand Tour" and probably his most famous, "He Stopped Loving Her Today".
