Country Music History April 2

A good Saturday to you, my friends and country music fans!  Today is the birth date of Emmylou Harris, born in Birmingham,  Alabama in 1947.  Country Music Hall of  Fame Member and winner of thirteen Grammy awards, Harris recorded a gaggle of hits including "Mister Sandman" and "If I Could Only Win Your Love".

"Nashville Star" winner, Buddy Jewell was born this date in 1961 in Osceola, Arkansas.

Not a good day in history in 2006 for Craig Morgan.  Taking part in a cross country motorcycle race in Tennessee, Morgan is thrown over the handlebars and sustained a fracture to his left wrist and concussion.

"My Love" by Little Texas is #1 on the country singles Billboard chart in 1994.  In 1977, the #1 spot is held by Kenny Rogers and "Lucille".
