Country Music History April 13

Good Wednesday morning to you!  The weather couldn't be better!  Open the windows and let some fresh air in......ahhhhhhhhh.

The Billboard country singles chart highlight today's country music history.  In 1959, the #1 spot was held by George Jones and "White Lightning"; it was George's first Billboard #1.  I love the guitar riff in "Whit Lightning".

Bill Anderson took over the #1 spot in 1963 with "Still".

Moving along to 1996, it was Lonestar sitting at the top with "No News".  It was also their first #1 Billboard single.

And in 2012, Jana Kramer made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry singing "Why Ya Wanna".
