Convicted Rochester Child Sex Offender Facing New Charges
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was sentenced to prison in 2016 after he was convicted of sexually abusing two young girls is facing new allegations.
An Olmsted County jury convicted 68-year-old Karyl Ingalls in May 2016. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and is currently being held at the state’s sex offender treatment program in Moose Lake.
The new case was filed this week in Olmsted County court and also involves two alleged victims. The case charges Ingalls with two counts each of 1st and 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The criminal complaint says Ingalls sexually abused the two young girls in Rochester between 2009 and 2016. A Rochester police investigator interviewed Ingalls last year at the treatment center but he refused to give a statement.
A date for his first court appearance has not been scheduled.
