We just announced this morning that The Loop in Rochester closed their doors forever on Monday night.  Now we are learning about another downtown store in Rochester that will be closing for good on Friday, July 31st.

Primp, a trendy clothing store located on 1st Ave. in downtown Rochester, will be closing up their Rochester location.  Their last day of business will be Friday, July 31st.

I reached out to the company to confirm the news that I heard this morning and Robyn Kennedy, the manager of the Rochester location, said, "With the COVID and construction...no one has been downtown shopping. :( :(  It is so sad and we have shed a lot of tears."

It's not a secret that businesses in our community have taken a huge financial hit due to COVID-19.  But, the businesses in the downtown area are getting hit twice due to construction that has limited traffic, taken away parking spots in front of stores, and limited visibility.  As you are shopping online or thinking about something that you need to buy, remember to shop local.
