UPDATE: Woman Involved In Minnesota School Bus Accident Has Died
Norwood, MN (KROC AM News) - A school bus and a car crashed in Carver County Tuesday night and the Minnesota State Patrol is reporting it has become a fatal wreck.
The crash happened near the town of Norwood Young America around 8:00 pm.
The State Patrol says the bus was turning onto Highway 212 when it was struck by an oncoming car.
The School Bus was Northbound on County Road 31 making a left turn to Westbound Highway 212. The Cadillac CTS was Eastbound Highway 212 and collided with the School Bus in the intersection.
The driver of the car was identified as 21-year-old Ellen Follestad of Glencoe. The State Patrol says she suffered life-threatening injuries and later died.
The bus was driven by 78-year-old Robert Streich of Hutchinson. He was not injured.
There were two juveniles on the bus, a 14-year-old Samuel Colvin and 12-year-old Graham O’Neill of Hutchinson. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
