Cannon Falls Area Couple Held at Gunpoint by Home Intruders
Cannon Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two men who terrorized a rural Cannon Falls couple Monday morning.
A news release says the two intruders rang the front doorbell of the victims’ home around 8 am and then forced their way inside the residence at the end of a road on the top of a hill overlooking the Cannon River about a mile east of Cannon Falls. One inside, one of the robbers held the couple at gunpoint while the other man went through the house.
Officials say they were in the home for over 30 minutes before they left in a light blue or light green sedan after tying up the husband and wife and stealing guns and cash from the home. Investigators determined the vehicle left the area westbound on Highway 19, but the description of the car remains vague and the license plate number is unknown.
Both robbers were described as black males in their 20’s. One is about 5 foot 11, weighs 170 to 180 pounds, with a thin build, and black beard. He was wearing a stocking cap, black pants, lime green safety vest.
The second burglar was described as 5 foot 10, 150 to 170 pounds, with a thin build, short hair, clean shaven, a stud in his left ear. Officials say the victims indicated he talked softly and was wearing a black coat with partial letters “GA” on the front, jeans, and silver/blue athletic shoes.
