The Caledonia Warriors used a 34-0 run to end the first half to beat Fillmore Central at Caledonia High School Thursday night on 103.1 KFIL.

The Warriors extended their defense and used the full-court pressure to get turnovers and push the ball in transition. The transition game of the Warriors proved to be the difference maker, as the Falcons just couldn't get the same offense going.

Fillmore Central had some success early, hitting a couple of shots from the outside to trail just by two, 17-15 early in the first half. Logan Corson hit two of them, but after that is when the Warriors went on their run.

Before the half ended, the Warriors pushed their lead all the way to 51-15 and ended up 54-17 at the break.

Marten Morem was stellar for the Warriors, using his length to execute in transition and get easy looks at the rim. He was great on the block and even hit a couple of shots from the outside. Owen King hit four 3s and the Warriors were off and running. Morem finished with 24 and King 16. Riley Gavin added 13 points and dove for almost every loose ball.

The Falcons struggled to get their offense going in the second half, although Luke Ristau did a nice job on the inside, the Warriors continued to pressure and the turnovers were too much to overcome.
