BREAKING: The Freeborn County Fair in Albert Lea is Back on for 2021!
The Freeborn County Fair is back on for 2021!
According to KIMT.com and several other news sources, the Freeborn County Fair shared in a press release the news that their fair is back on the schedule for August 3rd -8th in Albert Lea, Minnesota and without limitations.
So far, I don't see any information posted by them on their Facebook page or their website. I did reach out to the Freeborn County Fair to get a copy of the press release and to confirm but haven't heard back from them yet.
Wasn't the Freeborn County Fair Canceled Already?
You aren't dreaming things. The Freeborn County Fair was in fact already canceled for 2021. On April 30th, my co-worker, Luke Lonien, reported that the announcement was made that the county fair would be canceled. The story claimed that a variety of factors were part of this decision including the limitations of people in indoor and outdoor entertainment events and the cost to provide entertainment.
