While searching the residence, the firefighters discovered a body in a bedroom. Captain Behrns says it is suspected the victim was the 82-year-old woman who lived in the home, but that has yet to be confirmed.

The cause of the fire and the cause of death both remain under investigation. Captain Behrns says it is unclear if the victim suffered some sort of medical emergency or fell victim to the actual fire. An investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s office was called to the scene this morning.
