I never thought I would see the day when a dog was fired for being too friendly. Normally, these dogs are trained very well to know when and when not to be in that setting. Yet, this dog just didn't have it.

My dad was a K-9 officer for many years, and his dog was a family pet. He was friendly as can be when around people in the house or out and about, but when it was time to work, it was time to work.

According to KCCI Gravel, a police dog in Queensland, Australia, was fired because ""did not display the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line."

You can take a look at a picture of him if you follow the link, the dog is just wayyyy too adorable. Seriesouly, check it out.

Gravel was so adorable and caught so much of the world's attention, he now has a new job with the Governor of Queensland, as Vice-Regal Dog.

I kind of hope that his happens in our area, because Gravel looks like he is having the time of his life. It is not too often you have a puppy flunk out of the police academy!
