Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An arrest has been made in connection to a beer bottle assault at a downtown Rochester bar.

Rochester police reported Saturday that 36-year-old James Halverson was taken into custody Friday after being identified as the man who hit the victim in the face at Dooley’s Pub early Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Stewartville man who was hit had to undergo surgery for a severe facial laceration. Police said the assault occurred shortly after a confrontation between the two was broken up.

Halverson is expected to face a felony charge of 3rd-degree assault.
