Another Threat of Heavy Rain, Flooding For Southeast Minnesota
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Heavy rain, flash flooding, hot and humid. That’s the tropical forecast for southeast Minnesota the next few days.
The National Weather Service office in La Crosse has issued an advisory that includes the threat of heavy rain Wednesday night into Thursday morning with 2 - 4 inches possible.
Because of the rain threat and saturated soil, a flash flood watch will be in effect.
The Weather Service says storms may develop tonight that could also produce strong winds and possible tornadoes.
And then the heat arrives.
The Weather Service says the heat will increase through Friday with heat indices Thursday through Friday topping off in the 95 to 105 range.
Cooler weather is expected by Sunday.
