Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Good timing for those with travel plans this holiday weekend.

Gasoline prices at the pump in Minnesota have been slowly falling in recent days and are now at about the same level as they were a year ago. They were approaching $3 a gallin in early October.

Stations in Rochester were selling regular under $2.40 a gallon Wednesday morning.

Will prices fall even more?

Prices in Red Wing were under $2.20 a gallon Wednesday afternoon but it’s not clear if that is the result of a local gas price war or something else.
