America’s Favorite French Fries Can Be Found All Over Minnesota
Did you know President Thomas Jefferson is responsible making French fries an American favorite? According to thedailymeal.com, "He brought them to public awareness after discovering them while working abroad as American Minister to France." I'm pretty sure that's the main reason why he's featured on Mount Rushmore.
It's National French Fry Day and whether you like them covered in ketchup, loaded, curly, thick, or thin you probably eat a lot of them. They say the average American will eat close to 30 pounds of French fries each year. Check out where we go to get our favorite fries below.

Out of all of the places in the top 5, Five Guys is the one that gives you the most. They'll fill your bag with delicious fries that are cooked in peanut oil.

Yes, they have the meats, but they also have delicious seasoned curly fries. Dunking them into cheese sauce is the way to go.
#1 McDonald's
McDonald's fries are the best in the country according to this survey and it's not even close. The chain sells close to 10-million pounds of them every single day! The next time you order some fries at Mickey D's ask for a side of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in - it's so good!
