Albert Lea Woman Struck and Killed by Train

Alma, WI (KROC-AM News) - An Albert Lea woman was killed Saturday when she was struck by a train in Alma, Wisconsin.
A news release from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office identified the victim was 70-year-old Linda Sanden. The statement indicates she was hit by an eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe Train just before 12:30 PM.
The Sheriff's Office says the initial investigation found Sanden was carrying some fishing gear across the tracks when she was hit. The crew of the train told officials they spotted the woman on the tracks and tried to warn her but they did not have enough time to stop.
