You May See Additional Bicyclist On Roads Near Austin This Weekend
Those traveling on roads near Austin should be vigilant of additional bicyclists on state highways and country roads near Austin this weekend.
According to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, approximately 300 bicyclists will participate in a two-day Bike MS: RideAcross MN event, which is hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, extending north and south of Austin.
Day 1 and Day 2 Routes Of The Event
On July 23rd, motorists should anticipate bicyclists on Highway 56, Highway 105, and various Mower County roads as the event route takes cyclists over 50 miles extending south of Austin and into Iowa. On July 24th, the bicyclists will follow an over 60-mile route north of Austin, including Highway 251, Highway 30, Highway 218 and various other Mower, Freeborn, and Dodge County roads.
Bike MS: RideAcross MN Has Nearly Reached Their Goal
Bike MS: RideAcross MN has raised $306,763 of their $333,601 goal as of July 19th, according to the ride's website. The two-day experience of the bike rides will show off some of the beautiful scenery in southern Minnesota.
