Macon, GA (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester Public Schools Superintendent now has a multi-million dollar damage award hanging over his head.

The Macon Telegraph newspaper is reporting a federal judge has approved a $47.5 million judgment against Romain Dallemand in a federal lawsuit filed against him by the Bibb County School District. Dallemand is currently serving an 8-month prison sentence for a tax evasion conviction stemming a federal bribery and corruption investigation into his activities as Superintendent of the Georgia school system.

Dallemand was hired by the Rochester School District in 2007 and served as Superintendent until 2011 when he left for the position in Georgia.
