Country Music History May 13

Today's date in 1957 finds Elvis at the top of the Billboard country chart with "All Shook Up".

Happy birthday to the very talented Darius Rucker, born in 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina.  Rucker started his career as lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish before becoming a country solo artist in 2008.  In 2009, he won the Country Music Association New Artist of the Year Award.

"Whatever She's Got" by David Nail was released to radio by MCA in 2013.
