Today's date in 1955, Mickey Mantle hit three home runs, two left-handed and one right-handed.  Yanks beat Tigers 5-2.

Stan Musial charted his 3,000 hit in 1958.

Mickey Mantle of the Yankees did it again!  In 1967, he hit his 500 home run.

And in 1989, Minnesota's Kirby Puckett, in a game against Toronto,  tied a major league record with four doubles in a game.  He was the 35 player to hit four doubles in a game.
