Last night, KFIL broadcasted the boy's basketball game between the St. Charles Saints and Lewiston-Altura Cardinals. The fifth-ranked Saints drilled their first four shots- in fact, I don't know if any even touched the rim- all of them from beyond the arc in setting the tone for a 94-57 non-conference win over their Hwy. 14 rival Cardinals. The Cardinals tried everything they could, but the Saints offense was not to be denied. St. Charles knocked down nine 3's in the first half, and 13 for the game.

The “Player of the Game” awards went to Cullin Neeck of Lewiston-Altura (12 points, one steal, one block), and Dayton Danielson of St. Charles (18 points with 4 'treys', 7 assists, 5 steals). It was a big Saturday for Danielson, who earlier in the day on Coach's Corner was named the January 'Athlete of the Month' on KFIL!

The “Game Ball” was awarded to Luke Leistikow of St. Charles. Luke led the way with 22 points, and knocked down 6 of 7 free throw attempts.
