New Market Township, MN (KROC-AM News) - A woman was taken into custody Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call just before 12:30 pm, requesting medical assistance for an unresponsive 69-year-old female who lives on Livery Lane in New Market Township.

When deputies arrived, the female was located and transported to M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.

A 33-year-old female who called 911, and also lives at the residence, was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of first-degree assault and second-degree intentional attempted murder.

The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
