Saturday night in St. Peter was Senior Night for the Saints' boy's basketball team. The Saints' faced a tough opponent in Minnehaha Academy, which features Minnesota's Mr. Football Jalen Suggs on the team. The Saints' ended up losing the game, 64-95, but you'd never have known based on this celebration at the buzzer. Mason Doherty, a Senior on the St. Peter Saints, who also has Down Syndrome made a buzzer-beating shot that created a wonderful moment.

A video of Mason making that buzzer-beating shot was shared to Twitter by McKenna Reese. That video was then seen by someone at ESPN who picked that up and the moment went viral. But that's not what this blog is about. This blog is about inclusion, acceptance, and above all else kids being kids and being excited for one another no matter the outcome of the game. St Peter's Head Coach Sean Keating has been putting Mason in position to make shots all year. Here is video of Mason connecting on a shot back in December.

After this past Saturday's game, Jalen Suggs took pictures with Mason, as a fan of his.
