I guess it is better than being cancelled completely but it will not be the same! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I and a lot of FFA members from all around the United States will not be traveling to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis Indiana next week. It will still be held, but FFA members will be watching all the delegate sessions and workshops on a computer screen in their local ag rooms.

There will still be national officers elected and pretty much all the national awards will be given too. The applications were filled out on a computer and interviews were also done over the computer or cell phone. Many of the Career Development Events (CDE's or judging contests) were canceled. It is a little difficult to judge a class of pigs looking at a computer!

In addition I will not be able to talk with all those area FFA members in person. However, thanks to the cooperation of local FFA Advisors I will be talking with FFA members about the National FFA Convention on a cell phone or computer! Those interviews will be aired Friday October 30, 2020.
