St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Health has issued a listing of the larger long-term care facilities in the state that have seen at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 among residents or staff.

As of Friday, there were 32 facilities on the list, which only includes centers that have 10 or more residents. Confirmed coronavirus cases have also been reported at 15 smaller long-term care facilities that have not been publicly identified.

Two facilities in Olmsted County are listed. They are Rochester East Health Services and Rochester Rehabilitation and Living Center. Sauer Health Care in Winona County and Fountain Centers in Freeborn County are also listed.

Statistics reported by the health department show that only about 3-percent of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota involve people living in long-term care facilities. As of Thursday, 11 of the COVID-19 deaths in the state involved residents of long-term care centers and the only coronavirus death reported in Olmsted County involved a 90-year-old resident of a long-term care facility.
