Janesville might have to change the 's' to a $, as two Elysian women recently split a $500,000 Gopher 5 winning ticket sold at a Janesville convenience store.

The November 4th Gopher 5 drawing was for $503,343 and two winning tickets were sold one in Brooklyn Center and the other in Janesville. The Janesville ticket was sold presumably to one of the winning women listed on the Minnesota Lottery website. A big congratulations to Ruth Huff and Pauline Varacka both of Elysian on splitting the large jackpot. Both women are taking home over $250,000!

The Minnesota Lottery website lists both women as winning $251,671, that's quite a few burgers at the Knotty Bar and Grill.

The winning ticket sold in Janesville for the November 4th Gopher 5 drawing was purchased from Casey's General Store on South Main Street.

The Gopher 5 is, according to the Minnesota Lottery website, a "Minnesota-only lotto game that is drawn on Monday, Wednesday and Friday" in which tickets only cost a dollar.
