Ahead of the Aug. 30 release of her new album, Trisha Yearwood is sharing another new song from the project. Readers can press play above to hear "Workin' on Whiskey."

Written by Jessica Mitchell, Dave Thompson and Patricia Conroy and produced by Garth Fundis, "Workin' on Whiskey" is a slow-burning, dobro-filled song about "a situation you want to change, but can't," according to Yearwood. "I've tried and tried to give you up / But once you've had the strong stuff, nothing else will be enough / So I'll be workin' on whiskey," she sings.

Kelly Clarkson sings harmony vocals on "Workin' on Whiskey." The original American Idol winner also collaborates with Yearwood on another Every Girl track, "Tell Me Something I Don’t Know."

"Workin' on Whiskey" opens Yearwood's forthcoming new album Every Girl. Her current single is the album's title track, "Every Girl in This Town."

"Honestly, I didn't set out to make a certain kind of record. I didn't set out to do anything, except find songs that I loved, when I started this project about a year ago," Yearwood explains of the project. "I had no expectation, except that I wanted to enjoy myself in the studio."

Yearwood will celebrate the release of Every Girl with a fall tour. Every Girl on Tour will begin with three shows with the Nashville Symphony in early October and run through early December.
