Good mornin' baseball fans!  Tonight at 6:30, the Twins meet Kansas City.  Tune in to KFIL 103.1 for exciting Twins coverages.

The first major-league All Star Game was played this date way, way, way back in 1933 at Comiskey Park.  The American League won 4-2, with a key play being Babe Ruth's two run homer.

In 1956, Ford Frick initiated the Cy Young Award which honors an outstanding pitcher each season.  In 1967, this was changed to honor two pitchers, one from each league.

And in 1983, the 50th anniversary All Star Game is played at Comiskey Park.  The American League won 13-3, its first win since 1971.  Fred Lynn hit a grand slam, the first grand slam hit in All Star play.
