Tim McGraw Scraps Summer Show At Minnesota State Fair

Update: Tim's new show will take place on Wednesday, September 1st of 2021. 

Another country tour bites the dust: Tim McGraw has pulled the plug on his 2020 tour, which included a stop at the Minnesota State Fair.

The country star was set to perform at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand on Tuesday, September 1st. Sadly, this show will no longer happen due to concerns over COVID-19. Midland was the opening act.

In a message to fans, Tim said he cancelled the tour in an effort to keep all of his fans safe and is working with his team to figure out new dates as soon as it is safe to hit the road once again.

There is good news though: there is a good chance he will be back next year when things are much safer for all. According to Minnesota State Fair officials, they are working on rescheduling the show for the big event in 2021.

If you have tickets to the show, you have a few options:

• You can keep your current ticket and it will be valid for the new show in 2021. You do not need to contact anyone as it will honored.
• You can get a full refund by emailing the following information to mnstatefair.org
  • the name on your ticket order
  • your order ID number
  • number of tickets
  • your phone number, email address and mailing address
• If you purchased tickets from a third party, you will need to reach out to them to get your money back.

Minnesota State Fair's website says refunds may take about 30 days to process from the time you request your money back. The full price of the tickets, including ticket fees, will be refunded back to the card you used for the purchase.

If you paid with cash or check, a refund will be mailed to you if requested.

It should be noted that it is not the Minnesota State Fair that cancelled the show but rather Tim and his team. As of now, the fair is still set to happen with several acts still lined up for the event.
